Jehlum River

Poonch River

The Poonch River flows through the Poonch district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. It originates from the hills of Peer Panjal ranges in IHK. It enters from Mandher. The river offers scenic views of valleys, terrasse fields, and small towns along its path. Its length is  150 km.

Kunhar River

Although not entirely in AJK the Kunhaar River partially flows through the Neelam Valley. It makes it worth mentioning its origination. It originates from Lulusar Lake in KPK. It offers stunning views. As it flows through the picturesque valley. It is surrounded by lush green meadows, dense forests, and majestic mountains. Kunhar River is a 166 Km long river.

Mangla Dam Reservoir

While not a natural river it deserves a mention as it is a significant water body in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. This reservoir was created by damming the Jehlum River near the town of Mirpur city. It offers serene views of the expensive water body surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery. The Mangla dam river is 3,140m long and 147m high. It covers a surface area of 251 Km.
